Jackelyn Garcia is Director of Development with The Friends of Governors Island where she oversees all fundraising efforts for the Island. Prior to joining the Friends, Jackie served as Deputy Executive Director at Hudson Guild, a Settlement House based in Chelsea, NY. With nearly 20 years of experience in fundraising and marketing/communications, she has experience in general organization management and development and external relations functions including grant writing, individual giving, volunteer management, and board development. Prior to Hudson Guild, Jackie was Director of Development & Communications with Madison Square Boys & Girls Club. Jackelyn holds a B.A. from Allegheny College and a Certificate in Professional Fundraising from Boston University.
