City Living NY Youth Programs
City Living NY has two basic programs to serve youth – Our Comprehensive Services Program and our Home Goods Advocacy Program. A primary focus for CLNY is housing stability and homelessness prevention, and both of these programs work to achieve that goal. We expect 90% or more of our clients to remain stably housed during their time with us. Our first step with the youth, creating a real home, is beneficial to their emotional and physical well-being and boosts self-esteem, which in turn contributes to housing stability and overall success.
All of our programs start with the supply of home goods. We meet with the youth who are referred to us from many different partners city wide, and we start out with a home goods assessment.
Our Comprehensive Services Program (CSP) also starts our work with youth by providing the home goods needed to help them set up their first apartments.
When a youth turns 27 they are no longer eligible for the HGA or CSP programs. But we do not abandon them! They join our Alumni Program.
