Specialized support for parenting youth, including access to emergency parenting necessities and access to our parenting group workshops, aims to improve their overall stability and the well-being of their families. Through this service we aim to support our young parents and break cycles of recidivism. While 10% of all newborns are reported to child protective services by age three, this rate significantly increases to 53% among children born to mothers who have experienced foster care. Currently, only 6% of City Living youth have an active ACS case.
